There are many gods, but no one like God.
Check out how Micah winds up his life time collection of prophecies God gave him over the years:
Micah 7:18-20
God’s Steadfast Love and Compassion
18 Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity
and passing over transgression
for the remnant of his inheritance?
He does not retain his anger forever,
because he delights in steadfast love.
19 He will again have compassion on us;
he will tread our iniquities underfoot.
You will cast all our sins
into the depths of the sea.
20 You will show faithfulness to Jacob
and steadfast love to Abraham,
as you have sworn to our fathers
from the days of old.
You know what I can say about life right now after following Jesus for a lot of years?
Since being introduced to God as my Father through Jesus,
The contemplation of God for His own sake is my biggest joy.
Really.
As Micah says, God is more wonderful than I ever thought, and in just knowing Him and resting in Him brings more peace than I ever thought possible.
That can be true for you too.
It’s also why we men go to church and take our wife and kids if we have them.
We need God and so do they.
See you in church tomorrow!
