Jesus was the ultimate realist. He said to His disciples: “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” (Matthew 10:16). It is a dangerous world and has been since Adam and Eve ate the fruit in the Garden of Eden. Living in a broken and often bad world is very much like we’re trying to run with wolves and not get eaten alive! In such a dangerous world then, how do we Christ-following men live as disciples of Jesus Christ? Can we survive? Can we do more than merely survive? Is it possible for us to thrive and actually flourish? Yes it is! In this FORGE series through the book of I Peter men are well taught by the Apostle Peter how we can be faithful to Jesus and incredibly fruitful: we can run with wolves and thrive in the danger!
