In our study of the Ten Commandments God says right off: “You shall have no other gods beside me” (Exodus 20:3) What does that really mean and mean for us in terms of practical discipleship and does Jesus affirm this same saying? In this FORGE Talk we are going to explore how great men are developed by understanding what God is saying in this first great command and how it perfectly fits with what Jesus teaches and accomplished in His death, burial and resurrection. When men understand this First Commandment they are liberated to put “first things first” and so build a life that is not only rewarding and rewarded by God, but brings God the glory He so richly deserves.
