FROM THE DAWGHOUSE…

FROM THE DAWGHOUSE…

     Choices

Be Bold! Is my mantra right now.  If you get an email from me these days, I’ll probably sign off with that.

Be Bold! has been developed in me after years of DAWG and coming back to one of my life verses over and over:

Joshua 1:8-9- This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

But…making choices is not so easy these days.  Life is confusing.  Satan is on the prowl.  Fear is everywhere.  Issues all seem emotionally charged.  People are uptight. Any where you step you’re paranoid that right underneath there’s a land mine. And there might be one!

Be Bold is still relevant.

Combining Be Bold and making choices I’ve been thinking and praying in my DAWG lately about this insightful statement made by Dr. John Haggai:

“Remembering that I’ll soon be dead is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make big choices in my life:  Because almost everything-all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment, these things all fade away in the face of death, leaving only the most important.”

Catch and process these questions:
What problems do you have to solve right now in your home, work, family, church or community?

What decisions do you have to make?  What fears jack up your heartbeat when you think about the decisions you need to make (people you might offend, or have to get input or by-in from).  What is the right decision to make, the correct road to go down?
Where do you need boldness?  How can the quote above help you put your life in perspective?  What choices do you need to make?  How do you need to be bold?

Truth:  No matter how old you are, death is relatively near, and needs to be addressed and used as a tool for making wise choices.

Of course, in your DAWG you can process these questions daily as you read the Word of God and listen to the Spirit, Who loves to give answers to His sons.

DAWG= Read the Word, process your real life issues and questions, read the Word and pray, listen, decide.

Sometimes it takes day for the choice to become clear, even weeks.
But clarity comes for the choice He is leading you to.
Then it’s time for boldness.
