The rhythm of my Daily Appointment With God is captured in the picture below. Most of these APPS offer a single verse from scripture with no commentary. I like this because each day offers a variety of Gods’ Word for me to hear from our good, good Father! Recently, as I read these random verses, there was a clear theme which was the ALLNESS of God. It was so clear that I wrote down the verses…but God was prompting me to go deeper so I looked up additional verses relating to the word ALL in the Bible. In the process of doing that, I came across this quote, “Approaching the throne of grace…worship, is an act of humility and desperate dependence upon Christ who is our all in all.”
This idea of the ALLNESS of God gave me both comfort and encouragement as I was feeling the tension of life as it was clearly changing in light of the C-19 virus. In the moment, it was a reminder of Gods’ control over all things but also a reminder of who I am and what I have been given in Christ. He gives us His ALL and invites us to give Him our ALL!!!
I am inviting you to push the pause button on your activity of this moment, right now…and slowly read through these verses 2 or 3 times, asking God to let you hear what He has to say.
Thankful to be ALL in with FORGE Men…
